Modeled Moment: Check the Mail
Checking the mail can be a fun, language-building routine in your child's day. Go together to get the mail. Talk about how your mailbox works. Let your child hold some of the mail. Point out your names on the envelopes. At first, it may seem that your child isn't really benefiting from the routine but just wait. Keep it up and notice how your child will come to expect your questions and want to participate more and more!
